Greetings to you, my dear brothers and sisters, and to your relatives and neighbors, in this bright Holiday of Christ's Resurrection, with these eternally living words: Christ has risen!

These wonderful words sound as good tidings for Christians of all countries and nations! They express the celebration of God's love as well as of faith and hope that we'll also be resurrected.  The Holiday of Easter is the greatest day in the history of humankind. The fact that this event is mentioned in all four Gospels points to its great significance. It is written in the Gospel of Luke:

"On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” (Luke 24:1-7).

Our Lord Jesus Christ has died on the cross for you and me, for our sins, and having justified us befor God, He rose from the dead:" He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification". (Romans 4:25).

Sufferings and death of Christ is the price of our redemption, and His Resurrection is the guarantee of our Eternity with Him. We believe that the time will come when all of us will stand in front of God in order to give Him an account of our life, because our life on Earth is just a preparation for Eternity. He will come the second time to get His Church, as it is written: "And the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever" (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). So let us prepare ourselves to meet Christ!

In the Bright Holiday of Easter I wish you to stand firm on the foundation which is Christ! Let us work for God and spread the Good News of His Resurrection and His Glory with our lives, our words, and our deeds! Let us always remember that Christ is God's Son, that He conquered death and gave us victory! May His life, death and resurrection give us victory over all hardships, strengthen us in faith, and enlighten our hearts with the grace of the Holy Spirit, so that we could live joyfully and fearlessly in this world, expecting fulfillment of the great God's promises. May the power of God, which resurrected Christ from the dead, fill and change our lives! Wishing love, peace, hope and faith to all of us, our relatives and neighbors!

Christ has risen! He has risen indeed!

Best regards, Vasiliy Evchik,  Deputy of the Head Bishop,
